We got a flashback of how shishio was attacked and burned. Shishio makoto played by Tatsuya Fujiwara is the main antagonist of the taika-hen, wrapped in bandage. I was really looking forward to the "fireflies of may" scene between kenshin and karou but I did not get fireflies nor heavy crying from kaoru but it's OK. Going back to the movie, keshin was then summon by the current head of the new government to fight and end shishio's plans. First glance at taker sato and you already got the "kenshin aura", he really knows how to put his character it's like as if he really is kenshin, his red hair and the x mark in his face that is the symbol of his past and his outfit! It was really refreshing how his costume did not just stick to the red kimono he often wears in the anime. Hurrrr it was amazing!! That first scene already took me at the eadge of my seat! Then kenshin and the gang was first spotted watching kabuki in asakasa.
The movie start off with hajime saito leading the soldiers to a place which is supposed to be shishio makoto's hell on earth, the setting and props are set so well, it was very scary with some of the soldiers hang with a huge fire below their feet. The movie was great from the very start til it ends. 23rd was our original date of watching but got delayed because of unseen circumstances but nevertheless we still took our time to witness the movie for ourselves, we were not disappointed though. August 24 2014, I together with 2 of my colleagues went to the cinema to watch "Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno".
